Toyota Updates C-HR Crossover

Updated: Aug 19, 2022

Toyota has given their coupe-like crossover, the C-HR a subtle nip-and-tuck after debuting globally in 2016.

Exterior Design

New to the model are a set of new 18-inch directional alloy wheels which are fitted to the Plus and Luxury models. The new alloy wheels are wrapped in 225/50/R18 with a spare wheel fitted for added luggage capacity.

New exterior paint colors are on offer for the crossover such as Celestite Grey which has been found on other Toyota passenger vehicles. Standard and Plus models feature a choice of 10 exterior colors and these include Midnight Purple, Fierce Red and Eclipse Black. Luxury models are available only in a bi-tone configuration, with nine options to choose from. Any of the chosen exterior paint colors are complimented by a black roof except on the Eclipse Black option, which sees a silver roof painted instead.

Safety

Safety in the C-HR is made possible thanks to ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Assist Control and Trailer Sway Control. Standard and Plus models benefit from front driver and passenger side, curtain and driver-knee airbags, along with seatbelt force limiters, ISOFIX and pre-tensioners. Luxury models feature Toyota's active safety system, Toyota Safety Sense. This includes a Pre-collision system, Auto High Beam, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitoring, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Alert with Lane Trace functionality.

Engine and Power

The Toyota C-HR is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine which is capable of 85kW and 185Nm. A choice of either a 6-speed manual transmission or CVT is on offer.
