Following a recent global reveal, Land Rover South Africa has now announced the pricing for the all-new Range Rover Sport. The luxury SUV will be available to customers locally from October 2022.
10 variants of the model make up the entire line-up customers able to choose from engine choices including an extended range electric hybrid, 6-cylinder petrol and diesel options as well as a new flagship Twin-Turbo V8. 2024 will see the Range Rover Sport line-up evolving with the British manufacturer introducing a fully electric model.
Pricing for the range kicks-off at R2,001,200 for the D350 Dynamic S model and tops out at R3,011,600 for the P530 First Edition. The P510e electric hybrid model is powered by a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder petrol engine and a powerful 105kW electric motor and 38.2kWh battery. These combined produce 375kW and at the same time efficiency demands are also met thanks to over 100km of EV range. A claimed range of 740km is possible for longer journeys with the petrol and electric range combined. The 0-100km/h sprint is completed in 5.4 seconds.
The range-topping Twin-Turbo V8 is capable of 390kW with a 0-100km/h acceleration of 4.5 seconds when utilizing the Dynamic Launch. Less than 60 units of this model have been allocated for Mzansi. Also included in the line-up is a P400 mild-hybrid 6-cylinder turbo petrol which produces 294kW and 550Nm of torque. A D350 turbo diesel 6-cylinder producing 258kW and 700Nm of torque is also on offer.
Specification in the Dynamic S model includes Premium LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, wireless device charging, grained leather seats and a 3D surround camera system, to mention a few. Dynamic SE models see the inclusion of Pixel LED headlights, larger 21-inch alloy wheels and perforated Windsor leather seats. Dynamic HSE models see the addition of Digital LED headlights, 22-inch alloy wheels and perforated semi-aniline leather upholstery.
Autobiography models which are available either in D350 or P510e electric hybrid powertrains, offer a unique combination of 22-inch Diamond Turned wheels, finished in satin dark grey, black contrasting roof with a sliding panoramic sunroof, a bespoke SV full extended leather upgrade and premium lighting in the cabin with Autobiography script treadplates which are illuminated. A Range Rover Sport First Edition with a specially curated specification will be available in the first year of production. This model will be specified with unique 23-inch alloy wheels, First Edition etched Satin Forged Carbon finishers, SV bespoke full extended leather upgrade with perforated semi-aniline leather seats and premium lighting in the cabin with First Edition aluminium script treadplates which are illuminated.
