Chery Tiggo 8 Pro MAX Breaks Cover

As part of their first birthday celebrations, Chery South Africa has introduced a new flagship model to their range - the Tiggo 8 Pro MAX. From birth in November 2021, the brand has welcomed more than 10 000 customers as well as becoming a top 10 best-selling brand and has grown its network of dealers to over 70 dealers nationwide.

Specification Upgrades

The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro MAX is based on its sibling the Tiggo 8 Pro Executive, and as such, the MAX benefits from features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, multi-color Ambient Lighting, Chery Voice Control, a large panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a floating 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and lastly, an additional 8.0-inch touchscreen for the dual-zone climate control and other vehicle features.

Furthermore, the MAX adds privacy glass to the rear windows and also upgrades the windscreen and front side windows to thicker sound dampening glass. Noteworthy, the Tiggo 8 Pro Executive will benefit from privacy glass as standard in future. Further specification upgrades to the MAX include a black leather interior along with the standard fitment of six-way electrically adjustable driver's and 4-way electrically adjustable front passenger's seats, an eight speaker SONY sound system and wireless mobile charging.

Also fitted as standard to the MAX is the full array of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) which includes Forward Collision Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Adaptive Cruise Control with Emergency Braking Assistance, Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Monitoring.

Engine and Power

Powering the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro MAX is a new 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine which delivers 187kW and 390Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre TDGI unit sends power to the front wheels via a 7-speed DCT, with fuel consumption claimed at 7.0L/100km.

Pricing

The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro MAX will be priced at a suggested retail price of R629 900 and will include a 7-year/ 90 000km service plan and a 10-year/ 1 million-kilometre mechanical warranty.
